Are we not tempest tossed, carried about by every wind of doctrine, so much so, that all persons, your fellow sojourner in this "mortal coil" as Shakespeare put it in Hamlet, is left full of questions as to the meaning of life, where did we come from and where are we going? I will give here a list of questions, with answers provided directly from Israel's God concerning our quandary.

• "Life is more than that which ye shall eat and that which ye shall wear, for all these things do the Gentiles seek."  Jesus of Nazareth

• "If a man learns nothing more than to eat, drink and sleep, and does not comprehend any of the designs of God, the beast comprehends the same things. It eats, drinks, sleeps, and knows nothing more about God; yet it knows as much as we, unless we are able to comprehend by the inspiration of Almighty God. If men do not comprehend the character of God, they do not comprehend themselves. I want to go back to the beginning, and so lift you minds into a more lofty sphere and a more exalted understanding than what the human mind generally aspires to."  Joseph Smith

"All men know that they must die. And it is important that we should understand the reasons and causes of our exposure to the vicissitudes of life and of death, and the designs and purposes of God in our coming into the world, our suffering here, and our departure hence. What is the object of our coming into existence, then dying and falling away, to be here no more? It is but reasonable to suppose that God would reveal something in reference to the matter, and it is a subject we ought to study more than any other. We ought to study it day and night, for the world is ignorant in reference to their true condition and relation. If we have any claim on our Heavenly Father for anything, it is for knowledge on this important subject. Could we read and comprehend all that has been written from the days of Adam, on the relation of man to God and angels in a future state, we should know very little about it. Reading the experience of others, or the revelation given to them, can never give us a comprehensive view of our condition and true relation to God. Knowledge of these things can only be obtained by experience through the ordinances of God set forth for that purpose. Could you gaze into heaven five minutes, you would know more than you would by reading all that ever was written on the subject." Joseph the Seer
